• According to Find A Grave, Ora was born Ora Frances Creasy, the daughter of Wm. Jackson Creasy 1816-1913.. Her first husband was Robert Blankenship 1870-1918 and her second husband was George Washington Layne 1886-1977.^[1]
• Find A Grave is probably incorrect in listing her father as William Jackson Creasy (1816-1913). There is no father listed in the marriage record of Ora and Robert Edward Blankenship nor in her marriage to George Washington Layne. Only her mother, Molly Spradling. No primary source listing William Jackson Creasy as her father has been located at this time. I do not know about DNA connections to the Creasy line. BJS

• Thoughts and Tasks:

Was Amanda M. Williamson (1833-1909), who married William Jackson Creasy (1816-1913) on 18 Dec 1877 in Bedford County, Virginia, married briefly to an unknown Spradling/Spradlin? Maybe the initial M. was for Majorie or Margery with a nickname of Mollie. Ora constantly refers to her mother as being Mollie Spradling. However, the information in Ora's death certificate states that she was the daughter of Jackson and Mandy Creasy.^[2] This may explain the FAG memorial listing William Jackson Creasy as her father. Amanda Williamson does show with her father and/or mother in the 1850 to the 1870 censuses.

• Ora is not listed in the 1880 census for William Jackson Creasy and Amanda M. (Williamson) Creasy.^[3]
