James, a carpenter, and Julia, along with their children Helen (10), Julia (6) and Robert (3), immigrated to Australia travelling on the Marshall Bennett. The ship departed from Southhampton, and arrived in Geelong on 11 Aug 1854. The family were listed as being from Norfolk. [5]
