James Francis, son of John & Mercy, born Oct. 13, 1685, in Weathersfield, Connecticut.[1]

Marriage: Date: 03 NOV 1713[2]

James married first Elizabeth Howard on November 3, 1713 and together they had three daughters: Anne, Elizabeth and Mary.

After his wife Elizabeth passed away in 1728, James had a second marriage to Abigail Warren on September 30, 1731. James and Abigail had 6 children: Elijah, James, David, John, Abigail and Esther.

James wrote his Will on April 18, 1755 naming his wife, Abigail, his first three daughters: Anne Goodrich, Elizabeth Deming and Mary Stanly. He also mentioned these additional children: David, James, John, Abigail, Esther and Elijah, making Elijah his sole Executor. This Will is found in the Town of Hartford, Register of Probate Records Volume 17 1753-1757 starting on page 292.
