Jane was born about 1858, and she was baptised on 6 Mar 1858, in Roche, Cornwall, England. She is the daughter of Nicolas Francis and Ann Edyvean. In 1861, at around age 3, Jane is living in St Austell, Roche, Cornwall, England with her parents, and her siblings - Nicholas age 7, Anthony age 6, Charles age 2, and Thomas age 6 months. In 1871, at age 13, Jane is living in Church Town, St Austell, Roche, Cornwall, with her widowed mother, and her siblings - Anthony age 16, Charles age 11, Amey age 9, Maria age 7 and Annie age 6. By 1881, at age 23, Jane is a servant (Cook) at the Childs' household at Rectory Street, Parish of St Dennis, Cornwall, England, with her sister Amy. . In 1891, at age 32, Jane is still a servant for the Childs' household, at St Dennis, Cornwall, England, also with her sister Amy. By 1901, at age 44, Jane is a servant for the same family, in the Parish of Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.
