George was born before the 11th July 1825 when he was baptised at Llanarthney. He is the son of Francis Francis and Ann Evans.
In 1841 George his parents, brother Robert and sister Ann can be found at Llety Newydd in Llanon Carmarthenshire.
By 1851, George and his parents had moved to Llanedi where they were farming 46 acres.
On October the 19th 1855, George who is living at Greynor with his parents, had a daughter Anne with Elizabeth Evans out of wedlock. Sadly Anne (surname Evans) died in November and was buried on November the 5th 1855 at St Edith parish church, Llanedi. The burial register gives her abode as Greynor.
George and Elizabeth Evans were married in the third quarter (July-September) of 1857 as recorded at the Government Record Office (GRO). No church register has been identified recording this marriage. They lived at Greynor with George's parents.
They had another child this time a son Robert who was baptised on the 22nd of April 1860. The baptism record shows the abode as Greynor and George's occupation as a farmer.
Ann, their daughter was born in the first quarter of 1860 recorded at the GRO, she was baptised at St Edith in Llanedy on the 22nd of September 1861.
In the 1861 census, George and Elizabeth are still shown as living at Greynor with George's parents and their two children Robert and Ann.
Isaac their son was born in the fourth quarter of 1862 as recorded at the GRO. He was also baptised at St Edith in Llanedy on the 15th November 1863.
At this point, it is difficult to establish what happened to George and his family as the next identified reference point the 1871 census shows him as a widower living in Ystradgynlais in Glamorganshire with his two sons Robert and Isaac.
After this it has not been determined what happened to George. Further research is required, see notes below.

There is a George Francis in the 1881 census who is the wrong age but matching other aspects of George living with a son Isaac who does match the age profile of George's son. Another son William who has not been identified is also living with them The record can be found below on FamilySearch.
