Biography

Ann was born in 1861, and she was baptised on 20 May 1861. She is the daughter of Thomas Francis and Caroline Coumbe. In 1861, Ann was 1 month old, and living on the family farm in St Austell, Roche, Cornwall with her parents, and her siblings, Jane age 12, Thomas and Nicholas age 10, Hart age 9, Guy age 5, Francis age 3, and grandmother Jenny age 56. In 1871, Ann was 11, and living on the family farm of 150 acres, with her parents, and siblings, Nicholas and Thomas age 20, Hart age 16 (18), Guy age 15, Francis age 13, Henry age 6, Carry age 1, cousin Ellena Francis age 4, and grandmother Jane (Jenny Coumbe) age 68. In 1881, at age 20, Ann is living on the family farm (Tremodrett Farm of 150 acres), with her parents, and her siblings - Hart age 29, Harry/Henry age 16, and Carrie age 11. In 1891, at age 30, Ann is living still in St Austell, with her mother Caroline age 66, siblings - Harry/Henry age 26, Carrie age 21, and a servant Samuel Beckham.
