James F. Francis, residing on the Lanphere farm, about three miles northwest of Seward, died on Thursday last, aged 52 years, 10 months and 21 days, and was buried Friday.
Mr. Francis was born in Loudoun county, Virginia, August 7, 1830. He was the father of eight children, four of whom preceded him to the grave. He leaves a wife, four children and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. Mr. Francis was an intelligent and genial gentleman who had many warm friends in Seward county.
