Biography
Bennie Francis is a part of US Black heritage.
Bennie Francis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on 26 July 1922 to Hypolite Francis and Edna Jones. He married Theresa M Sorrell on 15 January 1953.[1] Bennie died in DeBary, Florida on 25 June 2007.[2] He is buried in Saint Louis Cemetery Number 2 in New Orleans.[3]
Obituary
- DEBARY — Bennie Francis, 84, of Pine Valley Court, a former hospital technician, died Monday at home. Mr. Francis, who served as a buffalo soldier in the 92nd Infantry Division in the Army during World War II, moved to this area this year from his native New Orleans. He was a member of A.M.E. Church of New Orleans and the Morris Brown Street A.M.E. Church. Survivors include a son, Bennie Jr., and a daughter, MonaLisa Francis, both of DeBary; and four grandchildren. New Life Cremation, Ormond Beach, is in charge.[4]
