Biography
Charles was born in 1835. He is the son of Abraham Francisco and Barbara Brott. [1] Charles joined the Union Army during the Civil War on August 15, 1862 at Nunda, Illinois. He was 27 years old and married. Charles was 5 feet and 5 inches tall with black hair and blue eyes. His occupation was that of a mason. He was a private in company: D, of the 95th Illinois Infantry. Charles was mortally wounded on May 22, 1963 and died at Vicksburg, Mississippi on June 7, 1863. He is buried in the Memphis National Cemetery in Memphis,Sshelby County, Tennessee. [2][3]
