Katherine was born in Germany in 1877 (*See Notes), the daughter of Frederick Henry and Louise (Grocose) Frank.[1] She emigrated to the United States on the ship Willehad, leaving Bremen on 3 October 1895 and arriving in Baltimore on 14 October 1895. The ship's manifest indicated that she was single, age 18, and without occupation. Her last place of residence was Geismar (which would have been in Prussia at that time), and she was heading to St Louis, Missouri, to join her sister.[2]
In 1900, she was employed as a servant in the home of Paul Griesdeick at 8 Nicholson Place in Ward 12, St Louis City, St Louis, Missouri.[3]
She passed away in 1930[1] and is buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Saint Louis County, Missouri.[5]
Occupation: Cook At Scruggs, Vandervort & Barney.
