Biography

John Richard Franklin[1] was born about 1852 in Georgia.[2]

He first married Laura J. Burden on 26 Oct 1875 in Elbert County, Georgia[3][4][5][6][2] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Columbus N. Franklin was born about 1876 in Georgia.[2]
  2. Louise "Lou" Franklin was born 08 Jul 1879 in Elberton, Elbert County, Georgia.[5][2]
  3. Laura J. Franklin was born 18 May 1882 at Ruckersville, Elbert County, Georgia.[6]

He was second married Alice Thomas[1][7] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Estella Franklin was born Apr 1889 in South Carolina.[7]
  2. John T. Franklin was born Jun 1891 in South Carolina.[7]
  3. Ollie L. Franklin was born Jun 1893 in South Carolina.[7]
  4. Robert Calhoun Franklin was born 28 Nov 1894 in Anderson County, South Carolina.[1][7]
  5. Allice B. Franklin was born Sep 1896 in South Carolina.[7]
  6. Ice Snow Franklin was born May 1899 in South Carolina. in South Carolina.[7]

As Alice is widowed with the children on the 1900 census of Elbert County, Georgia, it appears her husband had died in 1899 or 1900.[7]
