When he registered for the draft in 1918 during WWI, he was a College President on the Kentucky Board of Education, described as being tall and of medium build with blue eyes and light hair.[1]
He married Olive Grace Ralston,[9][4][5] daughter of William Ralston and Mary Kinser, on 04 Jun 1907 in Hamilton County, Ohio[7][6] and the couple had the following known children:
W. Ralston Franklin was born about 1912 in Illinois.[5][6]
M. Gail Franklin was born about 1916 in Kentucky.[5][6]
E.[5] Thomas Franklin was born about 1923 in Kentucky.[4]
Miriam Jo Franklin was born 04 Jan 1929 in Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas.[9][4][5]
Ezra died in Apr 1970[2] and is buried in Evening Garden Circle Cloister, Lot 1, Space 1B-B in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.[3]
