Biography

Robert Harvey^[1] Franklin was born 12 Feb 1886^[2][3][1] in Alabama^[4] to John W. Franklin.^{[4][5][6][7][8]}

In 1918 when he registered for the draft during WWI, he was living in New Market, Madison County, Alabama and was described as being slender and of medium height with brown eyes and dark hair.^[1]

In 1920 and 1930, Robert and his family are living in Madison County, Alabama; his widowed father John W. Franklin is living with them,^[4][5] but by 1940 they have all moved and are found in Poinsett County, Arkansas.^[6]

He married Emmer^[2] Emma^[4][1][5][6] Claiford^[1] Travis^[9] on 15 Jan 1911 in Madison County, Alabama^[10] and the couple had the following known children:

1. William^[9] Lonza Franklin was born about 1914 in Alabama.^[4][5]
2. Bennie L. Franklin was born about 1923 in Alabama.^[5][6]

Robert died 07 Jun 1970 and is buried in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wynne, Cross County, Arkansas.^[2][3]
