Biography
William Henry Franklin was born in 1883 at Leafield in Oxfordshire. He was the son of Mark Franklin and his wife Eliza, born Eliza Empson. [1] [2]
His father was accidentally killed in 1887.
In 1891 Henry was living in Lower End in Leafield with his widowed mother Eliza and his brothers and sisters. His age was given as 8, implying a birth date in 1882 or 1883. His birthplace was given as Leafield, Oxfordshire. He was at school. [2]
