Elizabeth (Franklin) Dowse was born in Northamptonshire, England.

Elizabeth Franklin was born at Ecton, Northamtonshire, England on March 2, 1677, a daughter of Josiah Franklin and Anne Child. [1]

Elizabeth married first Joseph Berry, at Boston, Massachusetts on January 8, 1707.[2]

Joseph Berrey died on [9: 25: 1721] according to the inscriptions in the Old Granary Burying Ground [3] which reads: Here Lyes ye body of Mr. Joseph Berrey Aged 39 Years Dec'd Sept the 25th 1721. [4] The Suffolk County Probate records index shows the will of Joseph Berry submitted in 1722. [5]

After Joseph's death, Elizabeth married second, Richard Dowse/Douse at Boston on March 19, 1721. [2]
