Samuel was born at Ecton, Northamtonshire, England on May 16, 1681, son of Josiah Franklin [1] [2] and Anne Child[3]

Christening on May 20, 1681 in Banbury, Oxford, England. Male, Samuel Franklin, son of Josiah Franklin or Francklin. [4]

He married Elizabeth Tyng May 16, 1705 at Boston, Massachusetts. [5] [6]

Samuel and Elizabeth had at least two children: Samuel Franklin (born 1705) [7] [8] [9] and Elizabeth Franklin (born about 1715). [10]
