Edward is believed to have married Mary Harris. [1] Edward was witness to the estate of John Readman on 2 March 1672 and 25 June 1673 in Westmoreland County. [2]
On 26 Jan 1692, Edward Franklin and Robert Sanford patented from the Proprietors escheat (crown) land, 413 acres, which lay a short distance south of the Potomac River in Westmoreland County. [3]
Edward died about 18 Feb 1693/94. Apparently he had a will (it is referenced in his probate), but a copy has not been found. His probate was held on 28 Feb 1693. [4]
After his death in 1694, Mary sold their portion of their land on 25 Mar 1695 to Joanna King. [5]
