Victoria N.[1] Franklin[2][3][4] was born Oct[5] 1856 in Aiken County, South Carolina[1] to Bartley Franklin and Sarah E. Scott.[6][7]
She married Benjamin "Ben"[3] Luther[2] Ergle about 1873[5][1] and the couple had the following known children:
Bluford Bartley Ergle was born about 1877 and died 28 Jul 1954 in Johnston, Edgefield County, South Carolina.[8][9]
Jacob "Jake"[9] M. Ergle was born Jan 1880 in South Carolina.[5]
Charlie Muller Ergle was born Aug 1882 in South Carolina and died 18 Mar 1948 in Columbus, Richland County, South Carolina.[3][5]
Callie M. Ergle was born 29 Oct 1888 in Edisto, Aiken County,[2]South Carolina.[5][9]
Charlie Caper Ergle was born Sep 1890 in South Carolina and died 15 Nov 1940 in Ward Township, Saluda County, South Carolina.[4][5][1]
Sallie Ergle was born May 1892 in South Carolina.[5][1]
Victoria died 03 Jan 1919 in Johnston Township, Edgefield County, South Carolina and was buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery there.[6][10][11] In 1920 her husband appears on the census in Aiken County, South Carolina as widowed.[12]

JOHNSTON, July 18--B. B. Ergle, 77, died at 9:30a.m. Wednesday after an extended illness. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Claude Ruston, North Augusta; two sons, Herbert, Walterboro; and Jasper Ergle, Johnston; on brother, Jake Ergle, Twin City, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Callie Turner, Johnston, and one grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at Mount of Olives Cemetery in Johnston and 4 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Earl Loadholdt, assisted by the Rev. Billy Johnson. Edwards Funeral Home is in charge.
