Sarah Hensley Franklin was born about 1737 in Virginia, possibly Pittsylvania county. She died on 1 July 1777 in Amherst County, Virginia. [3][4] She was the daughter of Henry M Franklin/Long and Margaret Hensley.
In 1753, Sarah married Joseph Ballinger in Virginia. [5] Joseph was the son of Joseph Ballinger Sr. and Charity Wade. [6] It is believed that Sarah and Joseph had the following children:
