James Franklin was born in South Carolina. He married wife Mississippi about 1850.
The 06 Jun 1889 issue of the Ashley County Eagle newspaper mentions the following:
F. W .Franklin, an old resident, died at the home of Mr. J. R. Franklin, and was buried at Antioch Church. As I didn't find an F. W. Franklin in the transcription of burials in Antioch Cemetery, I assume his grave to be unmarked. This same newspaper mentions another relative in the 01 May 1902 issue:
F. L. Morgan, Los Angeles, Cal., nephew of the late James R. Franklin, came here to visit after an absence of 20 years or more.

Charles A. Franklin was born in Arkansas about 1856.
John Henry Franklin was born 15 Nov 1859, died 08 Apr 1943 and is buried in Lick Prairie Cemetery, Ashley County, Arkansas.
Sarah Jeffries Franklin was born in Arkansas about 1862.
James Edwin Franklin was born 01 Oct 1864, died 21 Jun 1928 and is buried in Unity Cemetery, Ashley County, Arkansas.
William C. O. Franklin was born in Arkansas about 1867.
Susan Ann Franklin was born in Arkansas about 1871.
Robert E. Lee Franklin was born 26 Jan 1876, died 25 May 1955 and is buried in Hamburg Cemetery.
James is buried in Bethel Cemetery, Ashley County, Arkansas.
