Biography

Mary Franklin may have married before 1815 to Thomas Hitchcock, a Baker, of Ford, Buckinghamshire.

'No marriage record has been sourced to verify a marriage.

Nine known children were born in Dinton.

At the time of the 1841 Census the family was living at Ford in the District of Dinton. Seven of their children were still living in the family home, John 24, Rebecca 23, Isabella 19, Mary 17, Thomas Jr 15, Elizabeth 13 and William aged 8. Daughter Ann is likely married or in Domestic Service.

Baptism dates for Rebecca 1818 not known.

Mary passed away aged 80 just 3 months after Thomas. Her death was registered at Aylesbury.

Mary is buried at Saint Peter and Saint Paul Churchyard, Dinton, Aylesbury Vale District, Buckinghamshire.
