Biography

Grace Louisa "Gracie"[1] Franklin[2] was born 06 Sep 1899[3] in Tennessee[4] to William L. Franklin and Mariah Isabell "Bell" Ogle.[1][5][6][7]

She married Henry Teffeteller[2] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Infant son Teffeteller was still born on 06 May 1924 in Blount County, Tennessee.[2]

By 1930 she and Henry had divorced and she was living in Maryville, working in the home of Albert A. Huddleston.[4]

On 25 Apr 1935 she married Ray Rathbone in Sevier County, Tennessee.[8]

Grace died 16 Jul 1956 in Sevierville, Sevier County, Tennessee and was buried at Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist church, Maryville, Blount County, Tennessee.[1][9][3]

RATHBONE, MRS. GRACE FRANKLIN, age 55, died suddenly 5:30p.m. Monday at her home in Sevierville. She is survived by three brothers, George Franklin, Knoxville; Ben Franklin, Sevierville; Walter Franklin, Decatur, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Vola King, Sevierville; Mrs. Dororthy Rathbone, Maryville; Mrs. Arlie Sickles, Miama, Fla.; Mrs. Leora Buchanan, Sevierville. Funeral arrangements incomplete. Atchley's of Sevierville in charge.[10]

Franklin-11930 and Franklin-8250 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be duplicates. Please check them out since the dates are off on them. I took the photo at Laws Chapel when I took the photo of Henry S. Teffeteller. For some reason when I searched for Grace she did not come up on the search so I made a new profile. I think she did not show up on my search because of the date difference.
