William Bayliss[1][2][3][4] Franklin was born in Sep[5] 1862 in Kentucky[6] to James A. Franklin and Nancy Southard.[7][3][8]
The 1910 U.S. Census, shows him living with his wife and children in Curtail, Hopkins County, Kentucky, USA; at that time, he was a superintendent at a coal mine.[6][9]
He married Nora E.[6] Dixon[2] on 19 Dec 1883 in Hopkins County, Kentucky,[10][5] and the couple had the following known children:
Eddie Franklin was born Feb[5] 1887 in Kentucky.[6][4]
Oddie Franklin was born Feb[5] 1887 in Kentucky.[6][4][2]
Oscar Franklin was born Nov 1889[5] in Kentucky.[6][4]
Effie Franklin was born Sep 1892[5] in Kentucky.[6][4]
Pratt Franklin was born Jul 1894[5] in Kentucky.[6][4]
Ida Franklin was born Nov 1897[5] in Kentucky.[6][4]
Wallace Franklin was born Feb[5] 1900 in Kentucky.[6][4]
Everett H. Franklin was born about 1910 in Kentucky.[6][4]
He later went into the restaurant business and was the owner of the White Front Cafe in Dawson Springs.[4]
Bayless died 13 Nov 1927 at his cafe in Dawson Springs, Hopkins County, Kentucky[4][11][12] and is buried in Flat Creek Cemetery, Mortons Gap, Hopkins County, Kentucky.[7][4][13]
