Biography
Edgar Anthony Franklin was born December 22, 1915 in New Jersey. He was the son of Anthony Franklin and Helena Mae (Bierbower) Franklin. [1] [2]
He married Alma Muhlhauser in 1941. [3] They had one daughter Elaine Franklin. [4]
Edgar was a World War II Veteran. He enlisted on February 5, 1942 at Fort Dix, New Jersey and served as a Private. He was described as 67” tall and 158 pounds. He was released on December 10, 1945. [5] [6]
He died February 3, 1976 in Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey. [7] He is buried in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey. [8]
