Biography
Johannes, was born in Lekåsa parish 28 May 1843 to Eric Persson and Johanna Jonsdotter. His parents had married a few months earlier, but still served at two different farms.[1] In this situation Johannes' father enrolled as a soldier. He was assigned the soldier's name Erik Frank and the family settled in a soldier's croft in Bitterna parish.[2]
Johannes grew up with his parents in Bitterna. In 1868 he left for America.[3]
