George died 1857[3] in Whitely, Greene County, Pennsylvania[3] .
Research Notes
Rowley[3] Has the following regarding George's birth: " Westmoreland Co. Germ Ch Records: Joh. Georg Franck b 10/12/1784 s/o Michael & Elisabetha, From the 1850 Census (PA, Greene Co., Whitely Twp.) which shows: George Franks 64 Farmer b PA, Elisabeth (wife) 60, Elizabeth 16 (relationship?) George Franks was born in either 1785 or 1786." RWG.
The Pennsylvania Historical Society's record of the baptism at Herold's Reformed Church in Hempfield, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, which has 7 July 1784 as the DOB conflicts with the FamilySearch record which gives 1785. The familysearch is likely the original record used by the historical society, and is the most persuasive. For bot sources, parents names match expectation, and they are witnessed by Michael Franks Sr. RWG.
The Baptism record and the Pennsylvanina Births record both give the name as John Geo. Franks, but the dates are entirely wrong for Michael Jr.'s son John Franks (abt. 1775 - 1850). RWG updated 17 Nov 2020.
