Clara Louise Franzen was born on 17 Jan 1884 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, the daughter of Anthony Franzen and Caroline (Carrie) Sass. ^{[1] [2]}

She married George W Bente on 12 Apr 1922 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. ^[3]

She died on 24 Nov 1969 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin ^[4] and was buried at Summit Cemetery in Summit Corners, Waukesha, Wisconsin. ^[5]
