Biography

James Peter was born in Inverness the 4th child of 8.

He died during WWII in Italy.[1]

He is remembered in Inverness and at Kinlochleven, where he was living and working there at the start of the war.

James had married a local girl Mary Ann Cameron Reid in 1939 [2]

They had son - who died shortly after birth. There is no mention of Mary Ann Cameron Reid in James's war record, the entry on CWGC mentions he is the son of his parents. His parents chose the inscription He died that we may live

He was buried in Faenza War Cemetery, Faenza, Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

After the war Mary Ann remarried and had a family.
