Biography

John is the child of Donald Fraser and Mary Ord.

The entry of his baptism in the Old Parish Registers of Inverness reads: 1798 | May | Supplement | 17th | Fraser | Donald Fraser Writer and his Spouse Mary Ord had a Child Baptized by Mr Alexr Fraser Call’d (John) Alexr McDonald & Simon Fraser witnesses —[1]

The Simon Fraser who was one of the witnesses is likely to have been Simon Fraser of Boblanie, who also witnessed the baptism of John's siblings Richard and Catharine.
