Catharine Fraser was born circa 1783 in Shelburne Nova Scotia, the daughter of Hugh (born in 1740 Scotland) and Mary Fraser.[1][2] Her marriage record states her parents as "Hugh Fraser & Mary his wife late of Shelburn".[3]
On March 26 1801, she married Robert Freeman, son of William Freeman and Mary Elizabeth Cobb Freeman, in Liverpool, Queens co., Nova Scotia.[3] They had children, including:[4][5]
Mary, born March 18, 1802, in Liverpool;[3] who married James McClearn of Liverpool
Eliza Thomas, born September 15, 1805
Robert Watson, Aug. 6, 1806; who "went to sea, and never heard from."
Catharine, May 1, 1809; who married Stewart Freeman of Liverpool.
William Twining, born March 10, 1813; who married Letitia Freeman, daughter of Simon and Hepisbeth Morton Freeman on November 26, 1840
Catharine Fraser Freeman died 6 June 1811 in Liverpool, and is said to be buried in the Methodist Burying Ground, in Liverpool NS (according to the secondary sources listed here)
