Biography

William married Martha "Patsy" Ferrell. Their children were: Warren, Granville (lived in Knoxville, TN), John A., Wilron, Edmond, Eli F., and Emeline.

William and his family moved from Montgomery County to Tenneessee around 1843. They eventually ended up in Maury County, Tenneessee (Santa Fe area) according to the 1850 census. William and three of his sons would stay in this area where they farmed. The FRASER's are well known in the Santa Fe area to this day. The burial place of William and Patsy is not known. John A. Fraser is buried in Godwin Chapel Cemetery.

Moved from VA to Montgomery Co., NC. to Maury Co., TN. The move to TN is believed to be around 1843. He moved to TN with his wife and three sons.
William and Martha were in the 1840 census in Montgomery County, NC and the 1850 census of Maury County, TN. They were in East TN in 1843 and appeared in the records of Maury County in 1847.
1850 census of Maury County, TN, William FRASER and family lived in District 20: children were John 1828, Edmund 1833, William Jr. 1837, and Eli 1841. Neither Warren, Granville, nor a daughter now 20 years old and in all likelihood married, present - however, nearby in District 21, HH 711, lived Granville and his family.
In information received from Doug Webster is found information about William FRASER and wife Patsy FERRELL. Patsy is historically a nickname for Martha.
