Biography
David Alexander Fraser was born in 1791.
He arrived on Java in 1818. At first he was a partner in Skelton & Co., of Batavia, which ceased on the 31st December 1821; afterwards partner in Macquoid, Davidson e Co., Batavia, and then managing partner for that firm.[1]
He adopted the son of Asida, a native woman with whom he probably had a relation.
He founded the trading company Fraser, Eaton & Co.[2]
In 1840 respective 1846 arrived Arthur and Alexander Fraser (brothers in the next generation) in Soerabaja as new partners.[3]
