Biography

Donald Fraser was born before, and baptised on, 14 September 1750 at Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland [1][2], the son of Donald Fraser a labourer and his wife Anne Unknown, and their children were Donald Fraser, James Alexander Frazer and John Fraser.

He married Mary Davidson on 25 June 1773 at Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland . His occupation is shown as tailor on their marriage certificate [ 2] Donald and Mary had six children in 15 years. Their first son, James Alexander Fraser (Frazer-1523) was born in 1774 at Douras, in Inverness-shire, Scotland.

Donald died in about 1823 in Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland when aged 73.

Added by Dennis Nightingale Apart from Donald's baptism and marriage to Mary Davidson, my research of Scots and English records that I have been able to access has not revealed more accurate information re Donald's birth and death dates

Marriage registration indicates correct spelling of surname at that time is Fraser not Frazer
