Biography

William was born in 1784.

William K Frederick was the son of William Frederick, as established by the Will of William Frederick (his father)[1] [Abstract of Chambers County Will Books 1 and 2, image 52/220]:

pp 206 & 207. William Frederick's Will. I, William Frederick of Duplin Co., N. C. of sound mind and memory. (etc.)

To wife Nancy 6 negroes, named, provisions for 1 year, 1 horse, riding chair, harness, household furniture, cows, calves, pigs and sheep. At wife's death negroes to children of son William K. Frederick.  :To granddaughter Betsy James Frederick, daughter of son James Frederick, dec'd, $1. To daughter Cathrine Houston "my persimmon land" called the Tanner plantation. To daughter Polly Wikerson negro boy. To dau. Jane Tipler land on Stewarts Creek, land on Back Branch and all household furniture now in her possession which I bought 2 Nov. 1828. To son W. K. Frederick, in trust for his sons William Kena and Peter Coffe, plantation I live on and negro man Ishmeal for their use and benefit until they become 21 years old then to payth'em the profits that exceed their maintenance then. Negroes Toth and Tydia to be sold and money arising from sale together with $300 to be divided among daus. Catharine Houston, Jane Tipler and Nancy McDanel. :To grandson Peter Coffe Frederick my still.

William K Frederick died, at the age of 55, on June 21, 1839. He is buried at the Frederick & Davis Cemetery, Huguley, Chambers County, Alabama.[2]
