Marguerite Thomas was born about 1634 in Stavelot, Liège, Belgium; the daughter of Jean Thomas and Marguerite Fredley (sic). She arrived in the Québec Colony as a Fille à Marier, contracted to be the bride of Jean-Pierre Trudel. They were married November 19, 1655 in Château-Richer. Jean-Pierre was born about 1629 in Parfondeval, Orne, Perche, France, the son of Jean Trudel and Marguerite Noyer. He and Marguerite would have eleven children. She died on August 30, 1695 in L'Ange-Gardien and Jean-Pierre followed on November 25, 1699.

Children of Jean Pierre Trudel and Marguerite Thomas:

i. Marie-Jeanne Trudel - Was born on July 22, 1656 at L'Ange Gardien and died on December 01, 1734 in Riviere-Ouelle, Kamouraska, Quebec. She married Jean Jacquet.

ii. Pierre Trudel - Was born on December 06, 1657 and died unknown in L'Ange-Gardien. He married Françoise La Françoise; the daughter of Charles La François and Marie-Madeleine Triot, and the couple had at least two children.

iii. Marie-Madeleine Trudel - Was born on June 15, 1659 in L'Ange-Gardien and died on December 18, 1700 at Hôtel-Dieu in Ville de Québec. She married Pierre Lefebvre and the couple had eight children.

iv. Nicolas Trudel - Was born on April 04, 1662 and died on April 07, 1729 in Ville de Québec. He became the Captain of the Militia at Château-Richer and married Marie-Barbe Letarte. The couple had ten children.

v. Antoine Trudel - Was born on September 15, 1663 in Château-Richer and died on May 22, 1701 in Montréal. He married Marie-Madeleine Gariépy.

vi. Jean-Pierre Trudel - Was born on March 12, 1665 and died on December 24, 1665 in Château-Richer.

vii. Philippe Trudel - Was born on March 26, 1667 and died in 1732 at L'Ange-Gardien. He married Catherine Gariépy and the couple had fourteen children.

viii. Jean Trudel - Was born on June 28, 1669 and died unknown in L'Ange-Gardien. He married Marie-Louise Mathieu and the couple had twelve children.

ix. Marguerite Trudel - Was born on April 19, 1671 in L'Ange-Gardien and died on May 06, 1701 in Charlesbourg. She married Joseph Blondeau.

x. François Trudel - Was born on April 14, 1673 and died on November 04, 1685 in L'Ange-Gardien.

xi. Joseph Trudel - Was born on January 09, 1676 and died in 1715 in L'Ange-Gardien. He married Marie-Catherine Ossant and the couple had at least three children.
