Later in the same year he came to McPherson county, settling in the New Gottland community. He was married to Emily Erickson on December 6, 1890 and the couple resided there until August, 1939, when they moved to Lindsborg. Early last month they moved to McPherson.

Research notes

His obituary says he was born N. Vanga, Skarsborg County in West Gottland. He was actually born in Edsvära parish, just next to Norra Vånga parish, and part of Norra Vånga pastorat (next level up in the church hierarchy). West Gottland in this case means Västergötland and not the western part of the island of Gotland which is its own län.

There is a mix up on FamilySearch, and was on this profile too, that Gustaf is the son of Jonas Nilsson Freeburg and his wife Clara A, but that is an unrelated Freeburg family in McPerson, Kansas. Jonas Nilsson and his family came from Mörlunda parish in Kalmar län. They just took the same last name in America.
