But FrankKelso, six feet, three and one-half inches said he jumped almost his hight in fright that Sunday afternoon on the Freeland ranch near Turnersville. Grace had gone to the chicken house to see what all the noise was about. She had know a chicken snake was raiding nests, so when she saw the snake that afternoon, she grabbed its tail and "popwhipped" it out the door just as Frank rounded the corner in search of her. But return he did, and Frank Kelso and Grace Freeland were married in a garden wedding June 11, 1918 in Turnersville, Texas, USA
