Margaret, the daughter of Thomas Freeman and Mary Finn, was born on 20 Mar 1871 at New Town, Hobart in Tasmania. [1]
Martin Casey and Margaret Freeman were married by licence, on the 29th February 1892, according to Roman Catholic Rites at the Church of Sacred Heart on Newtown, Hobart, Tasmania. Their witnesses were their siblings Thomas Casey and Kate Freeman[2], [3]
In 1906, Margaret, her husband Martin Casey and their daughter Minnie (Mary) were mentioned in the will of her father Thomas Freeman. [4]
Margaret passed away on 21 Sep 1906 at Arglye Street, Hobart in Tasmania. A inquest was held on the 22 September 1906 and her cause of death was ruled as Heart failure, caused through excessive drinking. [5], [6] She was interred in the Roman Catholic section of the Cornelian Bay Cemetery, Tasmania on 22 September 1906. [7]
After the deaths of Martin Casey and Margaret Freeman in 1906, 3 of their young children were initially fostered by their Uncle - Francis (Frank) Freeman and his wife Mary O'Brien. Mary (aka Minnie), the eldest was taken into the care of Mary Magdalen Home in Hobart. Kathleen the youngest moved into the care of their uncle Walter Freeman and his wife Harriet Sonners. [8]

Yes I am able to confirm that Margaret Josephine , daughter of Thomas Freeman, is not the Margaret Freeman who married George Rossendell.
