OBITUARY - Mr Albert V Freeman Hastings Shire Gazette, 02/02/1956

Mr Albert V Freeman, who passed away on Tuesday 17th January aged 57 years, was born on Rawdon Island, being a son of Mrs Freeman and the late Mr James Freeman (the former now living at Macksville). The late Mr Albert Victor Freeman spent his boyhood at Macksville, and at the age of 34 years returned to Rawdon island. In 1933 he married Miss Essie Freeman, daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Freeman, of Rawdon Island. After a couple of years at King Creek, the late Mr Freeman spent the remainder of his life at Beechwood. Besides his sorrowing widow, he leaves 5 children to mourn their loss, viz., Roy, Colin, Vonda, Ruth and Janice - the eldest 16 and the youngest 7. He also had 2 brothers and 3 sisters, viz., Fred (Missabotti) and Harold (Dorrigo), and Elsie (Mrs Syd Williams of Talarm via Macksville), Ivy (Mrs Cyril Welsh, Macksville), and Thelma (Mrs Aub Mills, Ketelghay). The funeral moved from the Port Macquarie Church of England on Wednesday 18th inst., for the C of E portion of Port Cemetery, the Rev. F. H. Myhill-Taylor officiating at the graveside.
