Biography

Enoch Freeman was born June 1, 1737, the son of Joseph Freeman and Tabitha Tobey of Duxbury, Mass^{[1] [2]}

On December 20, 1764, he married Abigail Weston (born March 26, 1739, the daughter of Joseph Weston and Mercy Peterson) ^{[3] [2]}, and their children included:

1. Abigail, born October 6, 1765^[4], who married Amasa Sturtevant^[5][2]
2. Enoch, born July 28, 1767^{[6] [2]}
3. William, born May 25, 1769^[7], who married Welthea Sampson^{[8] [2]}
4. Lydia, born July 23, 1771^[9], who married Nathaniel Soule^{[10] [2]}
5. Daniel, born November 14, 1773^{[11] [2]}
6. Sally, born November 25, 1775^[12], who married Deacon Martin Sampson of Duxbury ^{[13] [2]}
7. Weston, born Feb 6, 1777^[14], who married Lurana Sprague^{[15] [2]}
8. Mary, "Polly", born December 29, 1779^[16], who married james Loring of Duxbury^{[17] [2]}

Abigail died August 7, 1812^[2]

Enoch died August 1, 1822, in his 86th year^[18], and is buried in the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury^[19]
