Emily, the youngest of the nine children of James Freeman and his wife Harriet (Brook), was born at Biddenden, Kent, in 1851 and christened there on 11th January 1852. She was living there with her parents in 1861, and by 1871 she was working as a housemaid for a bootmaker in Acton, Middlesex, and that is the last record of her that I have managed to find.
