In 1710, John and Hannah were bonded John and Hannah Wallis, young orphans of William Wallis. The orphans mother was probably a daughter of John and Hannah Freeman. They both died a year later, and neighbor Andrew Taylor assumed responsibility for Hanah after that.[1]
15 May 1710 – John Freeman appeared before the Court stating he had under his care several small orphans of William Wallis, deceased, and prayed the court take care of them. 15 May 1710 – John Freeman applied for and was granted administration of William Wallis’s estate “said Wallis and his wife dying intestate. 18 May 1711 – “Hannah Wallis” an orphan girl of William Wallis –aged six years being sometime since bound out to Jno Freeman and his wife and they being both removed by Death…” was bound of her free will to Andrew Taylor. July 1711 — William Freeman applied for and granted adm. on the estate of William Wallis. John Wallis was bound to John Freeman Jr 17 May 1717 — John Wallis complained to the court against his master, John Freeman Jr.
