Biography

Maria was born in 1839. She is the daughter of Henry Freeman and Charlotte Crawte. Maria married twice during her life. She married Joseph Carter in 1859, and they had 3 children together, but Joseph died in 1864. Maria remarried to Thomas Kelly in 1869 and they had one child together. We can find virtually no information on Thomas, but it appears he died prior to 1891.

Research Note

We could not locate a verifiable death record for Maria. However, she did appear in the 1891 Census, living with her son Joseph, so for now, we have recorded her death date as being 'after 1891'
