Biography

Herman was born in 1909. He was the son of Luther Freeman and Zula Wilhite. He passed away in 2000.

FREEMAN, HERMAN LEON, age 90, of Odenville, died passed away on August 1, 2000. He was a lifetime employee of Frisco Railroad, also a Regional Checker Champion and numerous times the Alabama State Checker Champion. His wife, Mary Lucille Freeman and daughter, Pat Bowman preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Gerald Mack Freeman (Karen) of Odenville; daughters, Judy P. Ricci (Dave) of Ocean Springs, MS, and Marlon Louise Sample of Mountain Brook; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchil- dren; brothers, John C. Freeman and Ted Freeman, both of Birming- ham. Ridouts Trussville Chapel will announce funeral arrangements. Brown Service Bessemer directing.
