Biography =
Barney was born 24 Dec 1813 in Pickens, South Carolina, son of Barnabas Lynn Freeman and Margaret Emeline (McCollum) Freeman. It is possible Barney was Barnabus Lynn Freeman Jr., but no proof of that has emerged. He married Melinda Jane Adams in Habersham County, Georgia on 7 April 1839.
Death
Barney passed away sometime after 1888 in Fresno, California.
