Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Andrew Freeman is a part of US Black heritage.

Andrew was a slave of William Freeman, who devised him to his son William Freeman in his 1737 will. His date of birth is estimated about 1707 as he is referred to as a man. Andrew may have been brought to Chowan Precinct when the Freemans moved from Lower Norfolk County, Virginia in 1717.

Andrew was to stay with William's wife Mary until the end of her widowhood either by marriage or death.[1]
