Biography

William was born in 1903. He was the son of Thomas Freeman and Martha J. Pettiford.

In 1920 William was living with his family on Lennox Ave. in New York City. He was a porter in a machine shop.^[1] Family members:

He married Gracie Gullins In 1923.^[2] According to the 1925 New York Census William and Grace have a daughter Gloria, born in 1925. Graces parents are living with them.^[3]

Research Notes

Not sure but it looks like William is also listed with his family in the 1925 New York State Census, living as single at home in 1925?^[4] Or is there a different error?
