Biography

Lavina was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Ernst Freeman. At the age of 6, she was living on the family farm in Woolwich Township, Waterloo County.^[1]

She married Robert Potter when she was 19.^[2]

They had five children in Ontario^[3] before they moved to Crow Wing County, Minnesota, in 1892. Robert started farming in Maple Grove Township about 1893.^[4]They moved to new farm in Long Lake Township about 1897.^[5] The family grew to include ten children.^{[6] [7]}

Lavina died at age 63.^[8] She is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd, Minnesota.^[9][10]
