An interesting note on this Census is John F. Freeman, 11 years old. This particular census does not list the relationship of John and Amanda, but one might guess he is a young nephew of Amanda Freeman Massingale.

Research Notes

Further information/research is needed to discover who Mandy Massingale married. She did not marry E. M. Massingale, as E.M. Massingale married a Freeman. Amanda Freeman and Ephraim Massingale's son Joseph's Death Certificate lists his mothers maiden name as Freeman.[6]
