When Eliza Emily Freeman was born on July 13, 1830, in Pike, Illinois[1], her father, Jeremiah, was 42, and her mother, Jane, was 36. She married Edward Boyd on October 5, 1853, in Collin, Texas[2]. They had five children during their marriage. She died on July 27, 1884, at the age of 54.
